In a world with so much content, it is easy for entities of greatness to become lost in the shuffle. New Orleans Union For Entertainment has a movement inside the movement. The New Orleans Union of Entertainment All Stars mixtape series continues. With an Essence Festival mixtape release accompanied by a follow-up release, The Allies, several hot songs are gaining additional exposure across the globe. Although many artists can hold their own, NOUE’s mixtape series consolidates the latest music allowing supporters and lovers of all genres of music to muster the latest creations from the majority of their favorite urban artists from New Orleans. The third mixtape, Real Recognize Real, is on deck. Any interested New Orleans urban artists can submit their mp3 to itsdevious@yahoo.com. Feel free to send high resolution pic to be considered for the cover of the upcoming mixtape. N.O.U.E.: Best Thing Since the Super Bowl?

Posted in Comedians, Legendary Artists, Mixtapes with tags , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , , on July 16, 2011 by Arlene Culpepper

“I think the union is the best thing that has happened to New Orleans since the Saints won the super bowl and thats major #HITZ” – Mista Meana of the legendary Partners-N-Crime

We think the above quote from Mista Meana says it all. It doesn’t get much bigger than the Saints winning the Super Bowl.

That was a day that will forever go down in infamy – just like the day we can all flip on our TVs, computers, radios, phones, and any other electronic device and hear OUR music being blasted around the world. And that day is coming, sooner than a lot of people may think. Baleedat!

This is bigger than Hollygrove, bigger than the Westbank, the 9th Ward, and a hell of a lot larger than even New Orleans itself. N.O.U.E. is a movement for those who want to be seen on a large scale basis – and who need/want positive promotion.

When you have people talking the way we do, you know you’re doing something right.

N.O.U.E. 2 U.N.I.T.Y.

NOUE's Sophomore Mixtape, aptly entitled "The Allies"

Founded less than one month ago, the New Orleans Union for Entertainment, or N.O.U.E., has become a force to be reckoned with – backed by some of the biggest names in New Orleans Music, the N.O.U.E. has already dropped one mixtape and is poised to drop another later this month. Devious, one of the legends of New Orleans‘ own Bounce Music Movement, Partners-N-Crime, the Legendary DJ Erv, and many others associated with the entertainment industry have pulled together and unified for a common cause – the promotion of New Orleans music on an international level.

It’s an idea that is now in its prime, as demonstrated by the large number of downloads of the 2011 Essence Festival Mixtape starring the NOUE All-Stars. If you haven’t already checked out the mixtape, it’s a must hear.

Popular hip hop sites from ThisIs50.com to The Heat Magazine have given the NOUE mixtape a high ranking – so much in fact, that they are poised to release another highly anticipated banger later this month. Stay tuned for more from the NOUE.
